Lost my character save to a new one?

so i was creating a new character, and when i tried to load back onto my old save, it bugged out and loaded my new one?! but it still says the old name and time in the load menu, but in game he's someone else, please help fix.

    Hey Daddiezoned,

    We're sorry you've run into this issue. Have you tried loading the -1 copy of your save, restarting the game, rebooting your PC/console?

    By the way, which platform you're using (Steam/GoG/PS4/Xbox)?
